Warehouse stock management plays a key role in modern logistics, as without efficient and optimised stock management, warehouse processes can slow down, causing costly delays for operators. Warehouse stock handling uses a variety of equipment that significantly facilitates the transport, distribution and storage of warehoused products. Let's see which are the most typical!

Forklifts

A forklifts the most common tools used in warehouse stock management. Forklifts are used to move, lift and transport palletised goods quickly and safely. From electric forklifts are becoming increasingly popular in warehouse environments, as they are not only quiet, but also environmentally friendly due to their zero emissions, making them ideal for work in confined spaces.

In addition to the widely used forklift trucks, various special types are available, such as side forklift trucks, which are ideal for handling and lifting long goods such as beams or various types of pipes.

Pallet trucks

Pallet trucks or hand pallet trucks, commonly known as frogs, are small-sized trucks that can be used to lift pallets hydraulics palletised goods can be moved manually.

These simple machines are very efficient, especially in smaller warehouses or where larger forklifts cannot fit.

Also worth mentioning are electric pallet trucks, which are also effective tools in warehouses, as they, like their manual counterparts, make moving palletised goods much easier.

Thanks to their electric drive, they require less physical effort, increasing work efficiency and reducing fatigue.

Shelving systems and conveyors

A shelving systems and roller or belt conveyors are an essential part of warehouse stock management.

As reported in our previous post has already been mentioned, the conveyors to easily move goods from one point to another in the warehouse, minimising the need for manual lifting.

Automated systems

In modern warehouses are playing an increasing role in automated inventory management systems, such as robotic arms or self-propelled forklifts.

These devices increase efficiency, reduce the possibility of human error and accidents, and operate continuously, resulting in faster service. The integration of automated systems with warehouse management systems improves the transparency and efficiency of logistics processes.

As can be seen above, a number of hoists help to ensure that logistics tasks in a modern warehouse run smoothly and efficiently.
