Used in construction about lifting equipment we have already written several times, now let's talk about one of the most important ones, the concrete pump!

From the idea of the beta pump...

The idea of the concrete pump In 1927, two German engineers, Fritz Hull and Max Giese, conceived the idea.

Several designs emerged around the middle of the twentieth century, while the two-cylinder solution still in use today Published in 1957 by Friedrich Wilhelm Schwing's company, Schwing GmbH.

Did you know? Not only the concrete pump, but also the tower crane is a German design. The mobile rotary tower crane was patented by Hans Liebherr in 1949, at the same time as he founded the engineering company that bears his name, and was subsequently presented in Frankfurt at the at the Autumn Fair and presented it to the public.

After that, the design of the concrete pump underwent a drastic evolution to keep pace with both the the height of modern buildings, both with the growing challenges and the difficult areas of work.

Nowadays, thanks to its various designs, the pump can even be used in enclosed spaces, thus satisfying almost any need.

...to the solution

Its design is very simple and therefore very reliable. In the machine two cylinders side by side, each with a piston. One piston sucks the liquid concrete into the cylinder while the other piston squeezes it out.

A valve is used to control which cylinder should be open towards the funnel and which towards the pipes.

Nowadays, concrete pumps are an almost indispensable part of construction sites. Its greatest advantage is its efficiency. This machine large amounts of stresses can get you where you need to go in a short time.

A continuous supply makes the job more efficient by eliminating the idling that occurs when using buckets, wheelbarrows and even cranes. Thanks to this, workers save time and energy.

It is also really useful to can be used to get building materials into hard-to-reach places.

With a rubber hose at the end of the pump, spreading concrete in hard-to-reach work areas, whether high or narrow, is no problem.

These advantages, combined with the ever-increasing need to get as much liquid concrete as possible to the areas where it is needed, make the concrete pump an indispensable part of the construction process.

Whether it's a basement, garage, tunnel or overpass, bridgeor multi-storey houses, this efficient machine is always present during their construction.
