Kötözőeszközök: láncok, kötelek

The types of load-carrying devices used in lifting accessories are described in in our previous post we presented. Now for the accessories directly related to them! Let's see which tying tools can be used for lifting jobs!

Modern lifting devices are divided into two main categories: those made of fibre materials (polyester, nylon or polypropylene) or metal.

Artificial binder

Fibres are mainly used for ropes and slings, which are perfect for lifting objects and (surprisingly) tying them up.

In the past, natural materials such as hemp were used to make ropes. But thanks to their positive properties, they have been completely replaced by plastics.

Ropes and slings made by twisting and braiding synthetic materials have a lower self-weight, higher tensile strength and a longer service life (they are more resistant to weather conditions). In addition, synthetic fibre ties easily take the shape of the load to be lifted and are less likely to cause damage.

Metal fasteners

If you want to lift a really heavy load and you want to use a tie-down made of artificial material tensile strength is no longer sufficient, metal accessories can be used. These allow heavier weights to be lifted and can be used in a very wide temperature range, from -40 to 200 ˚C.

However, when using them, it should be noted that they are less flexible than synthetic fibres and can cause damage to lifted objects more easily.

There are two basic types:

  • Sodrony ropes: like their plastic counterparts made by twisting, only using steel fibres instead of synthetic materials. Because they are used for lifting heavy weights and can cause serious damage if they break, continuous Review by, regular checks on the integrity of the fibres are essential.
  • Suspensions with chains: heavy-duty, modular devices. Thanks to the easy-to-replace batteries, they are simple to use and can be adapted to carry out the lifting tasks required at the time.

Choosing the right tying device

A a wide range of tying tools for our customers disposal. Our expert staff will always provide professional advice to help you choose the right accessory, taking into account the workflow, size and weight of the objects lifted.

Our company also manufactures IM (for high contact area) and IDM (double material for high load capacity) type straps, which are made to the customer's specific requirements.

If you need help choosing the right binder, please feel free to contact us!
